Obi-Wan Kenobi made Luke privy to Yoda in a vision when Luke was in trouble. Yoda's appearance might entail the notion he can't up a great stand. Yoda also wound up in altercation with Count Dooku. Yoda voiced his skepticism about granting training to Anakin. However, he gave his consent.
