Jar Jar Binks was on the verge of perishing when Qui-Gonn came to his rescue. Jar Jar used to reside in a clandestine city beneath water. However, he was driven out when erring. Jar Jar joined Obi-Wan and Obi Wan Kenobi. Qui-Gonn could make claims on Jar Jar, the gungans' belief system holding that one is obliged to serve someone saving one's life. Jar Jar will rise in the ranks. He will become a general. He will also become a political incumbent. Due to Qui-Gonn coming to his rescue, Jar Jar was spared from torment.
